We consider sports to be a strong sociopolitical driving force that brings people together regardless of their cultural and social backgrounds. That's why we support clubs from different sports that give people the opportunity to connect with each other - as active athletes or as fans.
Since the 2015/2016 season, we have been supporting the Giessen 46ers, an absolutely traditional team in German basketball.
The founding member of the Basketball Bundesliga relies on elio in its digital strategy. With the implementation of the online fan store as well as the optimal connection of ERP, CRM, Eventim (ticket sales) and app, we have digitalized the 46ers to the highest possible extent and thus contribute to the development and marketing of the club off the field. As a top partner, sponsor and fans, we look forward to many more successful years together.
Since the 2018/2019 season, we have been a premium partner and top sponsor of FC Giessen, supporting the soccer club primarily in the digital area. Not least through the establishment of the online fan store, we bring our core competencies to the club and accompany the current Hessenligist in its development.
In ice hockey, we are active as a sponsor of the current DEL second division team EC Bad Nauheim. The "Red Devils" have established themselves in Germany's second-highest division for several years now, and we continue to support the club on its way as a partner.
In handball, we stand behind HSG Pohlheim as a partner. The first men's team is currently active in Germany's third highest division and we look forward to supporting the club in its future development.
It is particularly important to us to also think about people whose lives are affected by severe strokes of fate and health restrictions. We therefore get involved in charitable projects in the hope of opening doors for these people and doing something good for them in their difficult situation.
"Kleine Helden" accompanies children and young people with life-limiting illnesses and their relatives. The hospice supports those affected in hopeless and frightening times. We admire all those involved and support this difficult issue with our resources.
Every year, our colleagues at the Frankfurt office take part in the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge. The world's largest corporate run takes place once a year at 15 locations in 8 countries on 6 continents, with the aim of engaging in friendly competition far away from the workplace. The event raises funds for local charities, with a total donation of around $200,000 raised in Frankfurt in 2022.
Protecting our environment is one of the most important and challenging tasks of our time. For this reason, we support major ecological projects that benefit the preservation of our nature and livelihood.
The "Trillion Tree Campaign" pursues the goal of planting one trillion new trees worldwide to counteract climate change with a nature-based measure. We, too, participate with regular donations to the foundation and are pleased to be able to contribute to the renaturation of our forests. In 2022, we were able to initiate the planting of a total of 1,000 new trees in a variety of locations.
Founded in 2013, The Ocean Cleanup develops and scales technologies that autonomously collect plastic waste from the world's oceans to help combat the pollution of our oceans. We support the fight against one of our biggest environmental problems and hope that this global project can make a lasting difference.
